Yacht type and size
A 40-foot speedboat, a crewed catamaran and a 120-foot motor yacht sit in completely different brackets. As length, cabin count and crew numbers rise, so does the daily rate.
Season and dates
High season runs roughly November to April, with rates peaking over Christmas, New Year and Chinese New Year. Green season, May to October, is quieter and usually noticeably cheaper for the same boat.
Day charter versus overnight
A single day is priced on the day. Overnight and multi-day trips add cabin accommodation, extra crew hours, more fuel and full provisioning, so the per-day figure climbs.
Group size
Most crewed yachts are chartered as a whole boat, so the rate covers the vessel rather than each head. A few day boats are priced in guest tiers, where the daily rate steps up as your party grows.
Distance and destination
Coral Island and Racha are close to Phuket and burn little fuel. Phi Phi and Phang Nga Bay sit further out, while the Similan and Surin Islands are a long run that adds fuel and often an overnight.
Extras and add-ons
Premium chef menus, fine wines, scuba diving, jet skis and professional photography are quoted on top of the base charter. Days that run beyond the agreed hours are charged as overtime.

How Phuket charter pricing actually works
Almost every crewed charter in Phuket is priced as a whole boat for a set number of hours, typically eight to nine for a day trip. That rate covers the vessel, its crew and fuel for a standard route, then park fees, drinks and add-ons sit on top. Because a quote depends on your exact dates, group size and where you want to go, there is no single fixed price list that would be honest. Two families chartering the same yacht in July and over New Year will pay very different amounts, and a run to the Similan Islands costs more than a lap of Coral Island on the same boat. We would rather send you a clear, itemised quote than publish a headline figure that changes the moment your plans firm up.
Where the value is: season, timing and boat choice
The single biggest lever is timing. Green season, from May to October, brings lower rates and much better availability, and the weather is often fine for the closer islands even if the open crossings can be lumpier. Weekdays are usually calmer and easier to book than weekends. On boat choice, a mid-size motor yacht or a catamaran frequently gives a group more shade, space and comfort per baht than squeezing everyone onto a fast speedboat for a full day. If your dates are flexible, steering clear of the Christmas, New Year and Chinese New Year peaks will make the largest difference to the final number.

These figures are indicative only. Your final price depends on the boat, the season, your group size and the islands you visit, so we always quote per trip.
Are your prices per person or per boat?
Nearly all of our crewed yachts are chartered as a whole boat, so the rate is for the vessel and its crew rather than per head. That means a group of eight often pays the same as a group of three on the same yacht. A small number of day boats are priced in guest tiers, where the daily rate steps up as your party gets larger.
Do the prices include national park fees?
No. Thai marine national park entrance fees are charged separately, per person and per park, and are set by the authorities rather than by us. We list them clearly in every quote so there are no surprises on the day, and our crew handle the paperwork for you.
Is a charter cheaper in the green season?
Usually yes. From May to October, rates are typically lower than in the November to April high season and availability is far better. The trade-off is more changeable weather on the longer open crossings, though days out to the closer islands are often still very good. If budget matters more than peak-season certainty, green season is worth considering.
