Charter by yacht type
A motor yacht is the fastest way to see more of the Andaman in a single day. Where a sailing yacht might reach Phi Phi and turn back, a crewed motor yacht can add a second or third anchorage, or push all the way to the Similans on a longer voyage. You get speed, broad deck space and a full crew, so navigation, cooking and mooring are handled while you swim, snorkel and watch the coastline change.
Cruising speed is the whole point. Most of our motor yachts hold 12 to 20 knots, with performance flybridge yachts touching the high twenties, so a run to Phi Phi that eats a chunk of a sailing day is done in around an hour. That pace buys options: a morning at Maya Bay before the crowds, lunch at anchor in Phang Nga Bay, and an afternoon snorkel stop, all in one charter. For the Similan Islands, which sit well offshore to the north-west, a fast motor yacht makes a long day trip realistic or a comfortable overnight leg on a multi-day voyage.
Motor yachts trade the heel and rigging of a sailing boat for broad, level decks. Expect an air-conditioned saloon, a shaded aft deck set for dining, a flybridge with sun pads, and a swim platform for easy access to the water. Larger yachts in the fleet carry stabilisers that steady the ride underway and hold the boat calm at anchor, which matters if anyone in the group is prone to seasickness. Cabins are proper ensuite rooms rather than berths, so guests on multi-day trips actually sleep well. A chef and steward mean meals, cold drinks and fresh towels arrive without you lifting a finger.
For a private day charter, a motor yacht lets a group pack in more coastline: several islands, a couple of snorkel stops and a beach lunch without rushing the day. For those wanting to go further, the same speed and fuel range open up multi-day voyages to the Similan and Surin Islands, Koh Lipe near the Malaysian border, or a slow loop along the Krabi coast. Explorer-style yachts in the fleet are built for exactly this, carrying the tankage and range to stay out for several nights. The crew handle the itinerary, mooring and provisioning, so a three or four day trip feels as easy as a day out.
Close to home, Coral Island and the Racha Islands make relaxed half or full days of swimming and snorkelling. Phi Phi rewards an early start, and Phang Nga Bay delivers the limestone karsts, sea caves and James Bond Island on calm, sheltered water. With more time and a faster boat, the Similan and Surin Islands offer the clearest water and best reef diving in the region, though both national parks usually close from mid-May to mid-October for the monsoon. Krabi, Railay and the Hong Islands round out a longer eastward itinerary. Your captain will match the route to the season, the wind and what your group most wants to see.
The fleet spans compact 65 to 85 foot motor yachts for couples, families and groups up to eight, mid-size performance yachts around 116 feet for ten guests who want speed and a flybridge jacuzzi, and full superyachts of 180 feet and above for larger parties or extended charters with spa, cinema and beach club. As a rough guide, smaller yachts suit day trips and short hops, while the larger, longer-range boats come into their own on offshore runs and multi-night voyages. Tell us your group size, dates and the destinations you have in mind, and we will shortlist two or three that fit.
Every charter is private to your group only and comes fully crewed, with a captain, deck crew and chef on a smaller yacht, scaling up to a larger team on the superyachts. Snorkelling gear, paddleboards and kayaks come aboard as standard, and many boats add jet skis and seabobs. Blue Andaman Exclusive operates as a licensed Thailand charter company, so permits, insurance and safety equipment are all in order before you step aboard. National park fees, fuel beyond a set range and premium provisioning are usually quoted separately, and we set that out clearly before you book.
Best for groups who want to cover ground, from families packing several islands into one day to larger parties planning a multi-day voyage out to the Similans or along the Krabi coast.

View Details →A crewed motor yacht typically cruises at 12 to 20 knots, and our performance flybridge yachts reach the high twenties. A sailing yacht averages closer to 8 knots. In practice that means a run to Phi Phi takes about an hour rather than half a day, so you can fit more islands, snorkel stops and swimming into a single charter.
Yes. The Similan Islands sit well offshore to the north-west of Phuket, and a faster motor yacht makes them a long day trip or, more comfortably, an overnight leg on a multi-day voyage. Bear in mind the Similan and Surin national parks usually close from mid-May to mid-October for the monsoon, so plan these trips for the November to May season.
Our motor yachts carry from around eight guests on the 65 to 85 foot boats up to twelve on the superyachts, all in private ensuite cabins for overnight trips. Day charters can sometimes host a few more for cruising only. Tell us your group size and we will match you to a yacht with the right deck space and cabin layout.
Charters are private to your group and come fully crewed with a captain, chef and deck crew. Snorkelling gear, paddleboards and kayaks are standard, and larger yachts add jet skis and seabobs. Meals and soft drinks are usually included. National park fees, fuel beyond a set range and premium drinks are generally quoted separately, and we confirm all costs before you book.
Rates depend on the yacht's size, age and range. As an indicative guide only, a smaller crewed motor yacht for a day charter sits well below the cost of a full superyacht, which can run to many times more for larger parties and longer voyages. Share your dates, group size and destinations and we will send firm quotes for two or three suitable yachts.
